  • Clean Up Australia Day in Kuranda. Sunday 2 March 2025. 9am in Centenary Park, Kuranda. The fairies will show their appreciation for cleaning up their garden beds by hiding magic rocks to find. Present these to Fairy Jenny to claim mystery prizes. Dress up to win a prize for best clean up get up! Gloves, rubbish bags and hand sanitiser provided. Bring hat, water and covered footwear. See you there!
  • International Women’s Day. Thursday 6 March 2025. 1-3pm at Kuranda Neighbourhood Centre. Kuranda CWA is proud to sponsor the Kuranda Neighbourhood Centre’s International Women’s Day afternoon tea. Join us to celebrate all women and listen to the guest speakers, which are Bree James MP Barron River, Toni Rogers a local fibre artist and Leah Kelly, an eco-fashion designer.
  • Weird & Wonderful Wet Tropics. Sunday 9 March 2025. 2-5pm at the Kuranda Recreation Centre, Fallon Road. Live insect displays. Weird and wonderful native invertebrates. Children’s activities include games, arts, crafts and a ‘Critter Hunt’ (children must be with a guardian). 2-3pm: Insect displays and hands-on activities. 3-4pm: Short presentations by experts and the ‘Critter Hunt’. 4-5pm: Make fun insect snacks, view live insect displays and chat with the experts.
