Kuranda Village is well known for its markets. The Kuranda Heritage Markets have been established for over 30 years and are the place to experience the best of Kuranda, in an all-weather covered market. Nestled in beautiful tropical rainforest, this bustling market is home to a diverse array of stalls, stocking a selection of local art, craft and locally sourced produce.
It’s the place for shoppers to stroll around at their leisure, exploring all of the stalls and enjoying the colourful characters and ambience. Stop for coffee or a meal, enjoy an ice-cream and make sure you visit the iconic wildlife attractions which are located within the markets.
The Heritage Markets are a short 15 minute walk from the Kuranda Train Station and Skyrail’s Kuranda Terminal. They are also home to the award-winning Kuranda Koala Gardens and Birdworld Kuranda.
- The Heritage Markets are open from Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 3.30pm.
- Birdworld and Kuranda Koala Gardens are open 7 days from 10am to 4pm.
