Kuranda Arts Co-operative

The Kuranda Arts Co-operative Gallery provides a rare opportunity for visitors to view a diverse range of unique and innovative works by local professional artists.

The Kuranda Arts Co-operative is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers, and had its beginnings in 1996 when a small group of local experienced artists and craftspeople joined together in the Kuranda markets to support each other in the sale of their work. There have been many successes including major exhibitions at the Cairns Regional Gallery, Hobart University Visual Arts Department, facilitating displays for members work at the Sydney Gift Fair, being represented in trade displays for Tourism Queensland and Tourism Australia in Singapore, major exhibitions at the Tableland Regional Gallery and numerous artist workshops on marketing and professional developments.

The gallery is staffed by the artists themselves so you are sure to be welcomed with a friendly smile and gain rare insights into the creation of the artworks. Artworks include a wide range of media which includes painting, photography, jewellery, sculpture, ceramics, textile designs, glass and weaving.

Artist profiles are supplied with all purchased artworks. Packaging and freight is also available.
