Discover the historical Paradise trail with an informative guided tropical rainforest walk.
You’re taken across the Barron River on the Kuranda River boat to a private, secluded rainforest clearing, where your guide will accompany you on the historical Paradise trail, exploring the beautiful section of ancient tropical rainforest, vines, lianas, ancient ferns and wildlife. There may even be a cassowary sighting during your walk!
Learn the history of the first rainforest tour in North Queensland that used this same trail in the 1920s. In those days, to reach “Paradise” tourists made their way from the railway station to the banks of the Barron River, where they would be rowed across the river in all their finery to marvel at the beauty of the rainforest.
At the end of the guided tour, enjoy a served tea/coffee and cake in the covered outdoor rainforest tea room next to a natural spring. A minimum of two adults is required for this Kuranda rainforest tour to take place. This tour must be pre-booked by the day before.
