Kuranda is very accessible and only a short leisurely drive from Cairns via the Kuranda Range. The road meanders through rainforest with a lookout that provides panoramic views over the Barron River delta, across Cairns beaches, and on a good day, you can see out to Green Island. For another rainforest experience, try combining a trip on the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway and the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Both award-winning attractions provide complementary yet very different journeys through the Barron Gorge National Park.
