Old timber trails lead the way into the heart of the oldest tropical rainforest on earth. Several antique structures will give you an insight into the fascinating pioneer history of Kuranda and Tropical North Queensland.
An orchard with more than 600 exotic fruit trees will remind you of nature’s goodness and richness with tastings available when in season. You will find durians, rambutans, lychees and mangosteens and a small collection of other fruits including banana, carambola, granadilla, grumichama, jaboticaba, jackfruit, longan, mandarin, mango, marang, miracle fruit, papaya, passionfruit and pulusan.
The chance to encounter one of the resident cassowaries will make this the most unforgettable journey. Barron Falls Estate is privileged to be home to the elusive cassowary. Even though there is no guarantee of a cassowary sighting, there is an 80% chance to encounter one of these amazing looking birds in one of the rainforest tours.

You can get to Kuranda Rainforest Journeys via Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and be greeted at the Skyrail Barron Falls Station by a tour guide. You can also self-drive to the location.
