Kuranda Heritage Markets

At this time, as a result of COVID-19 the Heritage Markets is open from Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 3.30pm.

No visit to Tropical North Queensland is complete without taking in the famous markets in Kuranda. The Kuranda Heritage Markets has been established for over 30 years and is all weather covered, meaning you can enjoy the picturesque rainforest surrounds at the Heritage Markets all year round. With traditional market stalls retailing souvenirs, arts and crafts and fashion items made in the local region the markets also feature many handcrafted Aboriginal items so you can take away a special piece of ancient Australiana.

The Kuranda Heritage Markets are also set in the picturesque natural rainforest and are open plan designed so while you explore and shop you’ll be on the doorstep of world heritage listed rainforest. Some of the friendlier and more human oriented animals also make a part of the markets with regular interactions with exotic birdlife and the unique water dragons that tend to fraternise with patrons.
