Local sisters Rosalie and Ranjini of Sri Lankan heritage are proud to showcase Barbara Sansoni and Barefoot designs.

Celebrating over 40 years of design, colour and weaving using eco-friendly dyes from Switzerland. It takes place in the rural areas of Sri Lanka where women take pride in weaving some of the most beautiful fabrics in the world. Barefoot teaches skills and asserts no time pressure on their hand weavers and needlewomen who create hand loomed silk and cotton garments, sarongs, bags, toys, table linen, bedspreads, wall hangings and more.

One can see a clearly recognizable abstract presentation and original composition of elements of colour in geometric proportion in each design.

Coarse and fine warp and weft textures are the characteristics of these exquisite hand-woven products. It is nature that is the inspiration in the designs. Landscapes, seascapes, atmospheric jungles, birds, butterflies, flowers, reef fish and coral. Each design is handmade from start to finish.
