Join the birds in their beautiful world as you immerse yourself in their rainforest habitat. Free flying around you are species from the vanishing rainforests of the world, including some of Australia’s most precious and beautiful birds. There are brilliant Regent bowerbirds …endangered, stately cassowary birds…cheeky rainbow lorikeets…galahs… and Australia’s favourite cockatoos.

Naturally landscaped with waterfalls, lakes, exotic and native plants, Birdworld replicates the natural habitats of almost 80 species that roam this unique rainforest freedom exhibit.

The powerful, beautiful cassowary bird is a rainforest ostrich. Sadly, habitat destruction has drastically reduced the numbers of this once plentiful species to around 1500. Educational exhibits like as Birdworld’s cassowary habitat assist the conservation efforts of this species by raising public awareness.

Bring your camera – you’ll be surrounded by the largest collection of free flying birds in Australia, with almost 500 making their home in the rainforest freedom exhibit.
